BlazeAlert ("we", "us", "our") is a family and group emergency notification app that sends urgent alerts via email, SMS, and automated voice calls. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or receiving alerts from a BlazeAlert user, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
When you send an alert, the message content, sender name, urgency level, and recipient list are stored in our database. There is no expectation of privacy for alert messages. All messages are subject to automated scanning and administrative review for abuse detection, as described in our Terms of Service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes.
We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:
Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform their service (e.g., Twilio receives the phone number and message content for delivery). They are contractually obligated to protect your data and prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BlazeAlert, our users, or others.
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to user data is restricted to authorized administrators and is logged. Payment credentials are never stored on our servers — they are handled entirely by Google Play Billing and Stripe, which are PCI-DSS compliant.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account). Account deletion zeroes all currency balances, removes you from family groups, cancels active subscriptions, and flags your account as closed.
Alert records and activity logs may be retained for up to 90 days after account closure for abuse-prevention and dispute-resolution purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.
To request data deletion without using the in-app feature, email support@blazealerts.com.
BlazeAlert displays sponsored advertisements (banners and splash screens) to free-plan users. Ads are contextual only — they are selected based on rotation and impression weighting, not based on your personal data or browsing behavior. We do not use your personal data to personalize ads. Paid subscribers see no ads.
By sending alerts through BlazeAlert, you acknowledge that message content may be reviewed by automated systems and administrative staff for the purpose of detecting abuse, harassment, threats, and fraudulent or false emergency alerts. Recipients of your alerts may also report your messages to BlazeAlert for review. You have no expectation of privacy for alert content.
BlazeAlert is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Every alert sent through BlazeAlert includes a tracking code and a report link in the SMS and email notifications. If you receive an alert that is inappropriate, harassing, threatening, or a false emergency, you can report it using the link provided in the message. Reports are linked to the specific alert and reviewed by our administrative team.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be accompanied by a new version date and, where appropriate, a prompt to re-accept the updated policy within the app.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at support@blazealerts.com.
